SWIM TOPIA WEBSITE: Please become very familiar with our team website. This is where you'll go to declare your swimmers Attending/NotAttending, sign up for required volunteering, check event entries, see event results, & find answers to your questions!
Declare Swimmers: All Meet listings open for parents to Declare swimmers "Attending/NotAttending" at the beginning of the season. However, if you don't know the entire season right away, please try to Declare the FRIDAY before each Wednesday meet so coaches can work over the weekend to place swimmers in events. Swimmers still not declared 'Attending' by Monday will not be entered into that week's Meet.
Parent Volunteers: All families must have 1 adult volunteer for half of every meet the swimmer attends. Volunteer options will open on the website the FRIDAY before each Wednesday meet so families can sign up. Any empty volunteer positions left unfilled by Monday will be assigned w/o preference to attending families who failed to sign up.
The sooner all parents can take care of these two weekly responsibilities (declare & sign up!) the sooner coordinators & coaches can prep for the upcoming meets. Not taking care of these steps on your own makes other's jobs more difficult & time consuming.

NOT allowed at Swim Meets
Alcohol: SSL prohibits alcohol in any form or container at ALL meets. You will be asked to leave the meet if you are found in possession of alcohol at a meet. Meet volunteers may also not consume alcohol prior to working their assigned shift.
Violence: SSL has a Zero Tolerance No Violence Rule: Violence of any type, verbal or physical, hostile or aggressive will not be tolerated, nor will any behavior found to be contradictory to the SSL mission. Persons involved in such behavior will be ejected immediately. If they will not leave voluntarily, authorities will be called. Remember, this is a non-competitive recreational league. Bring a good attitude, cheer for all swimmers, and have fun!!
Parent Pressure: Parents are encouraged to keep comments to their swimmers positive and not pressure, bribe, or punish their swimmers for event results. We want them to want to be here. This is a recreational league designed to have fun while learning.
NO Playing on Park Equipment or in Pools at Home or Away Meets.
